I watch entirely too much television. I thought this would be a good thread to throw out some programs, and if we all want to discuss, then we can create their own thread. (trying not to clutter up the place)

I love Dark Blue(Dylan McDermott) and surprisingly found myself hooked on what I consider to be teen programming with Secret Life of the American Teenager and Make it or Break it.

I am looking forward to seeing my faves return...Grey's Anatomy, Ugly Betty, Desperate Housewives, and Brothers and Sisters.

My favs are:
Law & Order: SVU (we still watch the reruns over & over)
Grey's Anatomy
Private Practice
Ugly Betty
Southland
New Adventures of Old Christine
Big Bang Theory
Rules of Engagement
Jay Leno
Guiding Light (which goes off Sept 18)
but for a real hoot: Sordid Lives & Rick & Steve
and embarrassing enough, the Jon Minus Kate plus 8

I wish there were more comedy's. I used to like Two & a Half Men but it got kinda stupid unless Berta the housekeeper or the Evelyn the mom were in the episode.

I see a couple Ugly Betty's. I watch that one, but it doesn't make my list of favorites. I'm curious as to where they're going to go with the nephew as he gets older.

We watch Secret LIfe of an American Teenager also as a family (very rare for this family) I still cringe at the word "sex" used seemingly every 30 seconds. I guess there are underlying positives about this show.
Bengals
UK basketball
Some Reds during surfing
Military Channel
History and History Internaional
How its Made and other educational shows of similar interest
News
Young and Restless (wife makes me since it is one of the few we watch together) :P

It sounds like I watch a lot, but when I have it on it is more surfing than continuous viewing. I can watch a Bengal game in 40 minutes on DVR. :)

I used to watch Clean House - the Children adored it too, but there were so many occasions where the 'eluding to' or actual sexual references, made me cringe.... then the commercials - Oh My! If I never see the one about a touch magigger, or the feminine jelly - it won't be a day too soon

Yes, clean house has a lot of sexual references, which is rather amusing considering it's about cleaning a house???

As far as Secret Life, it's way too preachy for me and I don't always think the message is good. This week's message was go ahead and have sex before you get married. It's better to do so in order to make certain you are sexually compatible. Sorry, but that's not the message I want to send my kids. I'm never certain what the message is supposed to be. And the only person on the show not having sex is Ashley. She's my favorite character. The father drives me insane and each time one of the teens seeks his advice, I think "run the opposite direction as fast as you can!" What kind of father tells a teenage girl (Grace) his wife's baby is actually his when his wife thinks it's her boyfriend's...well that whole sentence is just a problem, isn't it?

I've heard that the biggest complaint with the feminine jelly is the container size. It only holds enough for a couple of sandwiches!! It must be really good, as the women I work with rave about it all the time!!!
I taught him everything I know and he's still stupid. I don't understand it!!!
