Just watching a Fox News report on the H1N1 vaccine. Dr Manny came on and was discussing the pro's and con's.

Please take a moment and review his 'blog' do your own research and evaluate whether this is an appropriate measure for you and your Family. Knowledge IS power

NB: I do need to add that Dr. Manny also commented on concerns regarding Children, he advised that this vaccination does not contain 'mercury' (if I heard him correctly?) which was a major concern for him as his Child is Autistic. Again, research is necessary, but if you have the necessary information, speaking with your Pediactrician or Family Physician allows you a better understanding.

I think ill take my chances personally.

Let it ride a few years and see the results of what it does and how it reacts with the General Population.

I dunno-the first swine flu vaccine many years ago turned into a classic "cure is worse than the disease" scenario.
Plus you add the fact it's a government sponsored "rush job"-and the potential for disasterous results seems too high for my liking.

While I completely understand the trepidation, I am keeping my options open (at least until I have reviewed and researched every aspect)

I believe it is imperative to take into consideration that the number (already) who have succumbed to this variant of Flu, as quite concerning...
Flu annually poses a threat to those weakened by immunity issues, but also those elderly and young. This is a strain that has previously not been encountered, therefore a president has not been set... which should be taken into consideration... however, the affects of the flu (annually noted) are less than the contraindications experienced from the vaccine.

Either way, as I initially said, I believe that research is necessary, apply your own concerns, apply the risk factor, but most importantly, take note and evaluate whether this requires YOUR review and your attention

I read the other day that this is so close to the 1918 variety flu that you get immunity. (NO not quite that old, but the 1918 killed untold millions.) The death rate doesn't seem to be as bad as the normal flu, but it appears to be a random killer and often of completly heathy, younger people! Since I get a flu shot every year, if it is available, I probably will get it.

I think I'll wait to see what the major side effects of the vaccine. Then I'll make my choice.
Everyone with sleeping problems should teach small children or take care of them all day.

After speaking to the specialist at Children's Hospital on Friday, I will be allowing my son to get the H1N1 vaccine. He will not be getting the Nasal Spray vaccine, but he will get the injection.
