REPORT: WLWT
CINCINNATI -- Investigators have positively identified human remains found earlier this month as those of a missing Delhi Township woman.
Kristan Strutz's husband reported her missing Aug. 15, but police charged him a short time later with tampering with evidence and obstructing official business.
John Strutz was indicted on one count of tampering with evidence and remains held on $1 million bond.
Sources said officers found some suspected human remains in a trash can at the Strutz residence, and DNA tests on Monday confirmed their identity.
Hamilton County Coroner O'dell Owens said the remains were significant in size and relevance, but declined further comment.
Prosecutors had previously said they expect additional charges to be filed against John Strutz.
