Summer Youth Employment 2009

The Summer Youth Employment Program is designed to place low income youth, ages 16 to 24 years old, in summer employment. The program will start on Monday, June 15, 2009 and end on Friday, August 14, 2009. Program participants will work at various Butler County work sites at $8.00 per hour for up to 40 hours per week. Applications* will be taken at:

*Application packets may be picked up in advance at Workforce One of Butler County from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm Monday-Friday or on the above dates and times. Positions will be filled on first-come, first-served basis. Youth 16 and 17 years old MUST have a parent of legal guardian with them at the time of applying.

The Summer Youth Employment Program is a federal program sponsored by the Butler County Commissioners and administered by Workforce One of Butler County.

Youth applying must be: 16 to 24 years old, Butler County Resident, Economically Disadvantaged 70% of the poverty level(For example: The maximum income for a family of four is $23,627.00 annually.)

The following is a list of verifications needed to apply for the program: Picture ID, Birth Certificate or Record, Social Security Card, Proof of Current Address, Proof of Household Income for the Past Six Months (November 2008 to May 2009)
