Monroe Chat

On Saturday, December 8, 2007 from Noon to 8:00 pm, join us for an evening of entertainment, shopping, and a visit with Santa Claus! It will be held at the corner of South Main Street and Church Street.

Bus transportation will be offered the entire day from 12 noon until 8 p.m. on Saturday December 8, for Monroes 1st Annual Christmas on the Plaza. There will be 4 pickup/drop-off stops on separate routes. ( these stops will be marked with signs & cones)

--Route 1 will have a stop at the east end of the old Monroe High School, (now Greentree Academy) at the bottom of the hill in the parking lot. The second stop will be at the corner of Elm Street and Main Street in front of Monroe Auto Repair.

--Route 2 will have 2 stops, one at the concession stand at the Community Park, and one in the Monroe Post Office parking lot. Since it is our first year, we may not need the overflow parking in the Community Park, but the planning committee wants to practice for the growth of our festival in the years ahead.

We would like to thank the Petermann Bus Co., not only for donating the buses and the drivers covering both routes from 4pm-8pm, but also for transporting our students safely to and from Monroe schools each and every day.

Rte 1 stop times are every 15 minutes on the quarter hour from 12 noon- 8 pm.
Rte 2 stop times are every half hour from 12 noon- 4pm, then every 15 minutes from 4pm-8pm.
