Where Should Diners, Drive-ins and Dives Visit Here?

Hi Guy! Food Network star Guy Fieri finally brings one my favorite shows, ”Diners, Drive-ins and Dives,” here for the first time in March to shoot segments. Food Network confirms he’s coming in March, but won’t say where. Terry Carter of Terry’s Turf Club in Linwood says he’s talking to the show about Fieri coming there — which is a no-brainer, since the Food Network magazine last summer said Terry’s Turf Club had the best burger in Ohio, when it listed the 50 “ultimate burgers” state by state. Where else should Guy go here?

If you haven’t seen the show, check it out at 10 p.m. and 10:30 p.m today. Each week Fieri drives his ‘67 red Camaro Super Sport to three funky favorite places — in three different parts of the US. He cooks the house specialties with the chef, and interviews patrons. Here’s a link to videos on the Food Network site. Since the show started in 2007, he’s also written two books about his favorite “Triple D” locations.
Guy Fieri crazy

And here’s what you probably don’t know: When Fieri comes to town, he shoots at 6-10 restaurants. Each day he shoots at 2-3 locations, says the Food Network publicist.

Then he sprinkles those segments over shows for weeks and months. (That’s why loyal viewers see him return periodically to Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Buffalo, Philly, ‘Frisco, etc., every so often. )

So what are your favorite funky diners, drive-ins or dives for Guy Fieri to check out in town? He looks for great little places with unique specialties and colorful owners. If he does a chili joint, which one? Post your suggestions here for “Diners, Drive-ins and Dives.” Even if they don’t shoot there, we’ll have a great list of cool places to eat!
