Just wondering if anyone is using a drip irrigation system?

I will make you a offer, you can install the system in my yard and I will give you weekly updates on how well it works.

My best guess, it will be worth the effort if you plan on staying in the same location for some time. It will save you money on water and not replacing your plants. I am looking a setting up something like that at my house.

I have debated this system for quite some time for baskets and pots since I must water everyday and it takes considerable time. What research I have done requires a considerable knowedge to properly install and probably a lot of adjustments on the "fly" as all the GPH drip tips and such.

A proper working complete system would be very impressive and I dare say a case could be made for a small business with a comprehensive understanding and practical application. :D

Not being sure how precise your application needs are...

I've gotten by nicely using soaker hoses. In a large area, I'll lay the hose in a big loop (or a couple back-and-forths). When it's time to water, set a timer for 3 or 4 hours to get a deep watering.

Also works well to water around trees of various sizes. Just lay the thing around the tree and soak.

I'm going to try and see if it's possible to run out my rain barrel through a soaker, if it gets dry again.
