As many are already aware, Butler County has received federal funds through the Neighborhood Stabilization Program. The City of Monroe has requested that $500,000 be granted to the city to purchase the former Davita Monroe Dialysis building on East Avenue. This building would be used by the city to house both the Monroe Lending Library as well as a community center.
At this time the plan is still being considered by the county commissioners. Please take a few moments and contact the county commissioners on the library's behalf. Below I have included all 3 commissioner's names and several ways to contact them: email, phone, mail and the "Contact Us" link from the county's website.
Let them know how important this grant and this building would be to our library and our community.
Thank You,
Leslie Sumner
