Welcome back to England, David!

David Beckham received a frosty welcome after flying to London for a training session with England today.

The football star, who left sunny LA over the weekend, braved the snow for a warm-up session in Hertfordshire ahead of Wednesday's match against France.

David Beckham admits he is happy to be back in the England squad and hopes to win his 100th cap against France on Wednesday.

The former captain missed Fabio Capello's first match as coach against Switzerland last month due to a lack of match sharpness.

But he has been recalled for the friendly with France in Paris and is expected to become the fifth player to reach a century of appearances for England.

After training with his team-mates on Monday morning, Beckham revealed his happiness at being involved with the national team again.

Frankly at this point my biggest hope is that at least one chanel will carry the match so I can actually see it (rather than listen on the radio, which is what I normally have to do.)
"I traveled among unknown men,
In lands beyond the sea:
Nor England! Did I know till then
What love I bore to thee."
