What kind of tree is this?

Postby catnipandcarrots » Tue, 19 May 2009 10:29:39 GMT

I like this tree but I have no idea what it is?! It's in my backyard and it's always the last one to drop leaves in the fall and sprout leaves in the spring. I love the color contrast but it seems to be a very slow grower. I also have to watch it for bagworms, which I thought were only attracted to pines. See what I know?

Tri color beech. I have one and I love it. It is a very slow growing tree.

Thanks Phil! It is a gorgeous tree and I highly recommend it and again, in the fall it will be the last tree in your yard to loose it's leaves. When the sun hits it just right the color is amazing! :)
