Spring is FINALLY here

Postby kolby » Mon, 20 Apr 2009 14:07:06 GMT

I'm SOOOOO glad that spring has finally come. My flowers are coming out and looking great!!!

Here's the existing bed that I tore out and replanted.

This is a brand new bed that I built out last year.

I built two beds on the side of the driveway, along the road.

Can't wait to see the remainder of the plants to bloom out. :D

LOVE, LOVE your photo's (Thank you for posting)

We have just invested in having our front garden landscaped (I tried and failed, many, many times!!) You obviously have the midas touch :)

Beautiful! I would love to have a built up garden like that, but I'm happy enough with what I have, finally. Those Spring flowers are so, so pretty! It's a real shame they don't bloom longer.

Yay!

I really like the hyacinth, tulip, narcissus combo. Perennials to followup?

Most definitely. Got a nice mixture.....Bee Balm, Shasta Daisies, Black-eyed Susans, Coneflowers (multiple colors), Tall Phlox, Clematis, another type of daisy (can't remember at the moment, but about to bloom in the next few days), Veronica, Liatris, Butterfly Bush, Scabiosa (does not look like they are coming back, though), Reblooming Irises, Hardy Geranium, Stonecrop (live forevers, and whatever other name they have), and two or three others that I am forgetting currently. Didn't get pictures of it in full bloom last year.....but will not be making that mistake again. :D That is for the two beds that I have pictures above.

I built two other beds this spring, with a mixture of other types of flowers. And for the ones out by the road (where the red tulip were), I am planning to put Zinnias again. They looked really good last year.

We tend to like flowers, as do the butterflies and hummingbirds.
