Be sure and stop out to visit Christmas on the Plaza TOMORROW and bring a canned good or two or a pet related item. Heck, bring a something for Toys For Tots, too! Let's help those less fortunate than we are this year.
The day starts at 10am with a parade from Kroger to the City Building. Bring the kids to visit and get your FREE photos with Santa, some warm hot chocolate, and then head downstairs to the James Monroe Community room to peruse the booths and handmade crafts by local vendors! From there go outside to enjoy the live entertainment, and pick up something yummy to eat. Rebel 105.9 will be streaming live.
Parking will be limited but why not head to the community park and take the FREE horse and carriage ride up the festivities? They will be stopping by the Historical Society, too where both the 1910 Building and the gorgeous Chickahominy House will both be open for visitors. (Surely, you'll want to become a member once you see what this organization does to remember our history!)
Oh, and worried you might miss the OSU/Michigan scores? DirectTV will be on hand showing the game on the big screen!
Thank you Monroe Optimist Club, City of Monroe and all the supporters/volunteers who make this event possible!!!!! (I'm gonna miss my neighbors gorgeous pine tree but how nice the Thompsons are donating it to the City for all to enjoy)
See you tomorrow!
