The trouble with calculators.

Merely by chance, I think I may have stumbled onto the root problem with Congress, the President and politics in general in the US. Everytime I see/hear these numbers being kicked around about the latest spending bill, being inquisitive, and possessing enough math skills to be household effective but somewhat dangerous trying to keep up with giant brains, I pick up a calculator and to my dismay, discover there are not enough digits on my desktop solar calculator to imput these numbers (trillions now) being tosssed around.

I can't help but wonder if this is not the same problem our elected officials have and buying them all a 15 digit calculator might in fact save us all!

Having found a calculaor with enough decimal places this morning and imputing the numbers used by congress and the GAO, they say this progam costs 900 billion and covers 45 million people for 10 years. That means each person will have health care for $2000. annually. Ya think? Where does one get this today for even 3-4 times this figure?

We are on the cusp of slipping into a historical footnote. Get the fiddle out. :o :x :(
