I rarely if ever get 'bumps' but noticed that I had a little spot on my cheek, horrified I immediately retrieved a bottle of astrigent that I had in my bathroom vanity.

Worth noting that I don't know how long it had been there :oops:

there wasn't an expiration date on the bottle.

As I poured a little onto a cotton pad, my fingers began to tingle, which caused me to look at them (Thankfully I hadn't put the pad against my face!) A complete layer of skin began to peel off !!!!!!!!!!

This was not a top of the line product but wasn't cheap either (approx $25-30) again, I don't know how long I've had it, but it could have been quite nasty on my face.

Just wanted to share with y'all - If you have any products like this tucked away, be real careful!

I have to say that when I looked at the title of your post I thought it was going to be about something else. But I have also had an experience like this. It was with just a common facial astringent. Luckily I noticed it had begun to disolve the bottle before I but it on my face!
