This is horrifying to read! The Bus driver cannot be expected to monitor all students on board and drive safely, however, I cannot imagine for a moment that the surrounding students were not aware that there was something untoward taking place. I also understand that some buses do have security camera's and some do not, however, wonder why (if they do not) there couldn't be arrangement made to have volunteer bus monitors - Someone such as myself (SAHM) I would have NO problem getting on the Bus for the morning route.

Cincinnati Police are investigating the alleged sexual assault of a nine year old girl on a school bus last week.

A mother filed the report, claiming her daughter, who is a fourth grader at Roberts Paideia School, was forced to perform oral sex on a bus last Monday, November 2nd between 3:45 p.m. and 4:20 p.m.

No one knew about the attack until the next day, when Cincinnati Public school officials received a fax from the bus company, First Student, alerting them. School officials say it isn't clear from the fax whether the driver saw anything or was just relaying information from students.

An investigation was started by the school. The alleged attacker is 13 years old and also attends Roberts Paideia, in the 8th grade. School officials say he has been removed from school.

The mother filed the police report three days after the attack but the school says she may have tried to contact school officials before that, and left a series of phone messages.

The investigation continues and police have not filed any criminal charges yet.

The police report does not state the age of the suspect or say whether any charges have been filed.
