A Tri-State girl is using her birthday to help others.
Instead of receiving birthday gifts, seven-year-old Rosie Solis decided to ask for books to give to donate at Children's Hospital.
Rosie's birthday was this past weekend, and originally she asked her ten invited guests to bring a book.
But her parents say that all changed when she found out there are 450 kids at the hospital.
She decided all of them needed a book.
The Solis's then spread the word through e-mail and word of mouth.
As a result, Rosie collected a thousand books.
She will take the donations to Children's Hospital Monday.
