Save Your Library - Ohio budget cuts

Postby Mrs. Blueblood » Thu, 02 Jul 2009 10:34:55 GMT

The Governors budget proposal will result in a 52% cut in library funding .This will mean drastically reduced hours, fewer services and fewer materials. This was to take effect 7/1. It is too late for letters ----- call, fax or email to let your legislators know your feelings:

This is good info Mrs. Blueblood. Please support our libraries!

Anyone see the article in last Friday's Enquirer?? Our own Phyllis Sells got her picture in the paper along with a great article about how Monroe's Library recieves NO government funding!! (appalling, I know!)

It's entitled This Library Runs on Quarters. Check it out!

At my husbands chagrin, we are at the library many times per week.

It is the busiest place in Middletown. and it is downtown.

For many of the children in our communities, they would not have access to books without this great service.
