WKRC:
Police in West Chester are seeking the help of the public to find a missing woman.

Police tell Local 12 that 33 year-old Patrice Battle went to the grocery store around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday night and then went to an acquaintance's house at 4597 Wyndtree Drive in the Trails of West Chester Apartment Complex. The acquaintance says she left around 3 a.m. Thursday. She has not been seen since.

Battle's thirteen year old daughter called an adult friend and alerted that person to Battle's disappearance. That adult friend called cops.

WEST CHESTER, Oh -- A search for a missing mother ended with a tragic find in a Butler County pond.

West Chester police and rescue crews have been searching a pond early Monday morning near where a mother went missing last week. The pond is located on Plum Tree Drive. This is about a quarter-of-a-mile from where Patrice Battle was last seen.

A detective told News 5's Alison Montoya just before 6:30 a.m. that the body in the car is Battle's.

Officers said someone called police late last night saying they saw tracks leading into the water. Divers were called out about 4 a.m. to search the pond.
