Welcome reade13!! Looked on Sackett, eh? We coulda been neighbors! :D Definately sign up for the email alerts. We have the TWC bundle and when the "hurricane" came through in September we were quite cut off from the world with no phone, cable or internet. Our power was out a week but it was an extraordinary event. We have no issues with Time Warner except for rising prices and any change causes a myraid of billing problems.

Do you perchance know Sue Willey? I believe she may be part time at MUM. She was the BEST teacher I ever had and she changed my life. The things she taught me in her English class are still with me every single day. I knew her back in the early 80's & I still have one of her poems about Monroe.

As the others said, "Welcome to Monroe."

Thanks for the compliment on Rigby. She's afraid of people but is completely willing to pose for pictures.

Although it frequently happens that cable goes out at the same time as power, we've found a cheap UPS (uninterruptible power supply) to be a good solution for the times that cable stays "alive."

HRHPatey wrote:I live in the Applegate community. I have the 3 combo pack (Cable, phone and Internet) via Time Warner.

Our package 'bundle' deal is rather impressive and we have not had any issues with it, However, I will say (truthfully)that having the Cable phone is problematic when we have power outages, but as both DH and I have cell phones, it rarely causes any real issues.

The website is : http://www.timewarnercable.com/Cincinna ... 2975103205

Look into both options, I would also advise you to sign up for City alerts

Reade13 - welcome to Monroe! Do you have Children? Might you be looking for something in particular? Please feel free to contact me personally (via email or PM) or post a question, we'll be more than happy to offer suggestions .... I know you'll love it here - we do :D
