MONROE BMX now open under new directors

Postby ozzee1 » Mon, 17 Aug 2009 20:01:30 GMT

The Monroe BMX track is now open and holding gate practices as well as races.
The first race was Sunday, Aug. 16, not enough riders showed so they did gate practice and half laps.

Registration will be from 4-5 with racing soon after. NBL memberships are required and can be applied for at the track. Memberships are $50 and are good for a full year of racing at this track as well as any other NBL sanctioned track or $30 trial membership.
Racing will be $10 for trophy and $7 for points only. If you are interested in racing and have any questions please check out our forum and our contacts on www.monroebmx.com or come out to the track for yourself and we'll answer anything that you may have questions about. Don't forget to wear full faced helmet and long pants, long sleeved shirt or short pants/shirts with knee/shin and elbow guards.

I highly recommend heading out there Wednesday for gate practice or Sunday for the races and having your questions or concerns handled in person. These people are a great asset to the track. My daughter is four, and we went to just check it out and support the track. They had her totally excited to ride her bike, and good people are just fun to be around.

Send me schedules of events. I've shot BMX before, and would love to cover a few events for the site and paper.
