What is the weirdest gift you ever received (doesn't have to be a Christmas gift!)

I would have to say for me it was a wooden tea truck ....... I believe the inspiration came from the 'Tea' connection, although I'm not 100% sure

Secondly, a book about birds and their natural habitats - not a weird gift to some, however, not having the slightest interest in Birds, I found it somewhat odd !

Finally, a first date 'gift' was a photograph (signed and dated) from my date - possibly should add that was the first and last date we shared !!

Nor England! Did I know till then
What love I bore to thee."

The weirdest gift I ever received was also the best! For our first Valentine's Day together (well...the first GOOD one  ) when we were back in college, my husband (then boyfriend) gave me a star. 8) There is a star in the sky named after me!

Other than that, I'd have to say every gift my dear father has ever given me. I get car organizers, gift certificates to Lowe's and binoculars. I do rather enjoy the binoculars though. I just smile and pass them on to my husband. We come out even in the end. From my mother, my husband receives velvet pillow shams. We just trade.

I think most of the gifts I received from my grandmother weird, but I have to tell you the story.

Grandma had plenty of money but was so scared that she would get sick and need extensive care that she would try not to spend any of it. I remember her Christmas gifts as being mugs, socks, pictures that didn't make sense, or anything she could find around the house to wrap.

I can remember the first time my ex-hubby was part of Christmas I warned him about grandma's gifts...sure enough, he got a mug that said something like "uncles are the best" with a five dollar bill!

Gosh I miss her!!!!! :D
