Joe Jackson Wants Michael's Kids to Tour as 'Jackson 3'

This absolutely blew my gaskets :x  :x However, the story is being reported by The Sun, for those not familiar with this newspaper, it is about as news worthy as the National Inquirer

Lets hope that this is nothing but unsubstantiated gossip!

Michael Jackson's father, Joe Jackson, is lining up the King of Pop's children for a world tour as The Jackson Three — despite family members accusing him of trying to "exploit them like Jacko."

Former Jackson Five manager Joe is said to have approached Prince Michael, 12, Paris, 11, and seven-year old Prince Michael II — known as Blanket — to hit the stage next year.

But one of Jacko's familymembers is said to be "livid" at the scheme, which will add fuel to the bitter custody battle for the youngsters.

Just pondering this story made me rather curious about the Guardianship of the Children.

As I understand it, the best interest of the Children is the guide as well as the last will and testament of the deceased Parent. With that in mind, if indeed there is any validity to the story above, how would a Family Court Judge assign guardianship IF Joe Jackson has any control over their upbringing?

It was suggested that although married, Katherine and Joe Jackson do not live together but have separate homes..... maybe, if that is the case, Katherine would still be able to obtain guardianship with the proviso that Joe Jackson does not have legal rights to the Children.

Bless their hearts....

Joe Jackson is, well, I'll just keep those comments to myself. I'm familiar with the Sun and yes, you must take their words with a grain of salt (not to mention a shot of Tequila).

I wasn't a Michael fan due to his personal behaviors but did respect his music and talent immensely. I'd hate to see his children thrust into the limelight after years of being sheilded from that very thing. MJ apparently (and desperately) wanted his kids to not placed in the public arena and the man is (supposedly) not even buried yet but dad is at his old tricks once again. When they turn 18 and if they express a desire to enter show business, then fine. But let it be their choice - and their own way.
