The true problem with the Czars are that they report to him and no one else. He has eliminated the entire check and balance system that our government was founded on. These people can do WHATEVER they want and have no one to truly report to.

We can write our congressmen and senators but they follow their party lead (for the most part).
We really have to wait until 2010 to make a difference by voting in NEW representatives. Sad thing is - November of 2010 seems A LONG WAY OFF. They could pass 50 more major plans by then......................

Man this is a DOG FIGHT... I've been thinking.... I have alot of time to think here in Florida since I don't have anything else better to do. What's going on is the Blue Dogs are getting checks from the insurance companies along with the republicans to get this health reform voted down. This health reform is the worst case scenario for the private sector. The very reason why they are pumping millions and millions of dollars into a campaign to stop this health reform. I belive any plan that is introduced no matter what it is will take money away from the insurance companies and they fight tooth to nail to get any kind of health care reform stopped.

Now on the other side of the coin you got Henry Waxman, Nancy and company doing what they can to cram this through so no one can read the bill and there is debate whether this will turn into a single payer system where just the government provides health care to Americans. I do think the bill will go in that very direction overtime. It won't happen overnight but over a span of years it will eventually take the insurance companies out of business and the government will have a monopoly on the health care sector which is a very bad thing. They can't even run a post office correctly let alone my health care! When the whole system is government run we can expect long lines and waits for transplants etc because in any other country that is the result when you have total control. The government will NOT treat those that are going to die anyway and let them get death counseling and get them to die a peaceful and painless death. That is one reason why senior citizens are quite upset about this. I do need more information on how this is bad for senior citizens. We all know this is bad for your doctor because his pay will come from the government and he will not make as much as he did before. I do think we need to look this bill over and get a bipartisan bill through to reform health care in America but not at the expense of the rich and senior citizens. I do believe all Americans should have affordable health care but in some shape or form you as individual should have some kind of responsibility to pay for that health care whether its through community service or paying through taxes. If you don't have government health care then you SHOULD NOT PAY FOR IT. You should have your right to keep your employer health care and the government shall have no right to tell you to take on government health care. The government should be allowed to infringe upon our everyday lives. I fear that certain individuals will be taxed for eating a Big Mac. Is that fair? I am sort of mixed on that because if a 300LB individual is going to Mc Donalds everyday and eating Big Macs and I am paying for his insulin shots because he has diabetes. Shouldn't he be taxed? But at the same isn't his right as an American do as he pleases? Since we are the United States of America the home of the free and by no means should we be told what we can and cannot eat. What is your take on that?

I want to close with this... I do fear this bill will pass because enough people are going to paid off to get just enough YES VOTES... Everything in this country is about $$$$$. The whole Cap and Trade scheme is about $$$$$... If some gave you 10k do believe in Global warming would you take that money and speak in support of Global Warming? Where has the best interest of the American people gone? What about taken some heart into making a decision? Its all about the BOTTOM DOLLAR here in America. It doesn't matter if your democrat or republican. Who ever offers you the most money is how you will side on voting. Well I am done ranting but as you can see I am confused and disturbed about the direction that America is taking. How do we fix it?

I'm not sure that any amount of money would get me to "support" something I don't believe in, but $10K isn't a lot of money in the scheme of things and definitely not enough to get me to support something I'm against.

So, to answer your (likely rhetorical) question...no, it would not.

Communist ties?
Do you mean like to the hundreds of US companies who have moved entire production facilities and tens of thousands of US jobs to China? The communist country who owns two TRILLION dollars of US debt? Those kinds of communist ties?
Stay the course with weather forcasting...Leave politics to the savage, dangerous criminals such as Kennedy, Regan and Obama...AKA the people who can stomach it.
Mark it zero, Dude.

I'm sorry but I just read your entire rant. My favorite line of the full text is the one that includes "confused and disturbed", that is classic. America is not 'taking' this direction as much as it has been the modus operandi of this great land since its inception. Please recall from your history lesson that this is a nation built on peoples who were tired of paying too many taxes and being persicuted for thier religous beliefs only to come here and do exactly the same to an entire race of peoples all due the fact that they themselves didn't believe in the same god.
Being 'confused and disturbed', as you put it, is the first step in becoming a true american, enjoy.

I suppose the debate that "does the state owe its citizenery life time health care" is over just as is the debate over global warming and every other left wing position! This is the most subsidized industry we have and it is only getting bigger every day, yet we cringe at other bailouts that are miniscule in comparison.

I have to question the intent, motives, integity, and usefulness of our elected representatives, media, and constituents!

I have contended for some time, with little support, we would be much better off if they were paid and sent home!
Do we really need more laws and legislation? Who will have the intestinal fortitude to fix this mess? It will not get fixed but only get worse.
