NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Brooks & Dunn says they're done.

The best-selling country duo posted a message on its Web site Monday saying they've agreed to "call it a day" after 20 years of making music together.

Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn thanked their fans and said it was "just time" to part.

Brooks & Dunn will release a greatest hits album on Sept. 8 and tour one last time in 2010.

The duo's many hits include "Boot scootin Boogie,""My Maria,""Red Dirt Road" and "Cowgirls Don't Cry" with Reba McEntire.

I'm not a huge country fan, but I think these guys have stayed as true to the sound as anybody and been a leader in promoting and continuing true country music. They are classic in so many ways. JMO

I've never heard any of their songs (not a country fan either), but I have heard "Brooks & Dunn". I had no idea they had been around for 20 years.

never went t o a concert but everyone that I know that has been, say they are a great act to watch....older music was pretty good, not as familiar with the newer stuff
