Biltmore 'Who's Who'

Postby HRHPatey » Thu, 07 May 2009 12:30:55 GMT

I received this letter .....

" You were recently chosen as a potential candidate to represent the professional and business community of Middletown, Ohio in the Biltmore 2009 Honors Edition of Who's who Among Executives and professional Women.

Yada yada yada...
The publishing committee selected you as a potential candidate, based upon your current standing as well as criteria from executive and professional rosters. Given your background, the Publishing Director believes your profile would make a fitting addition to our Honors Edition publication.

Yada, yada, yada.....

On behalf of our committee I salute your accomplishments. Welcome to the Biltmore Who's who roster.

Firstly, they spelt my name incorrectly!! Secondly, I am quite secure in my SAHM status, but don't believe I have my credentials appearing on any executive or professional 'rosters.' Unsure about my current standing.... but did recently manage to wipe out a fellow Mafia war lord (That counts for something right?)
And finally, I may well be the Queen of MY home, but other than that, can't begin to fathom the 'profile' I might put forth in order to WOW the other "thousands of fellow achievers !!!!"

I researched the Company (just for a chuckle) only to find that there have been People (with obvious ego issues) who have actually PAID this company hundreds of dollars to appear on their 'rosters;' People who sadly have discovered after their 'parting of moolah' that this is a bunch of codswallop :P

Gotta love the power of seriously good humor!!

In lands beyond the sea:
Nor England! Did I know till then
What love I bore to thee."
