Well, it is official Mike Iriwn has completed all the paperwork to run for school board again this year. I think that he is a great choice.

He always thinks about the district finances and researches everything that is being discussed. HE IS DEFINATELY NOT A YES MAN!!!!!!!!!!!

He is the type of person we need to keep on the board.......

WHO ELSE WILL RUN THIS YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We need good people that will not be there for self serving issues!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm glad to hear Mr. Irwin has decided to run again. He is a great guy whom I hold a lot of respect for. He is a very intelligent and straight shooting person.
I would like to see Brett Guido run as well.
There are a few horses I would like to see retired, will keep that one under my breath though.

Thats a shame. I think he would do well. I have sent him an email or two here recently asking him if he would like to join. No reply. I would like his take on the School Board situation as well.

Mr. Guido is a super candidate for School Board - he has a both a vested interest and an understanding (fiscally) of the School needs. Besides both of those admirable qualities, he is a Gentleman who has garnished both the respect and admiration from all those who have the privilege to know him.

I do have to say that Mr. Birdwell is a gentleman that I personally adore and respect. On a professional level he has always been first up to offer opinions and answer questions (regardless of the difficulty) with truth and integrity.

I admire anyone who is willing to step up and take on such a position. The School board members are frequently subject to public scrutiny and thus subject to critique, most often, unfavorable critique.

I could not/ would not, set myself up for such a challenge, and so can say that for those who do... I tip my hat, most respectfully.

I used to give Tom a really hard time about the issues but now that I've come to know him a little better, he has nothing but my utmost repsect. I think he has mellowed a little and sees things with a broader perspective, too (not to mention the patience of a saint!). He is the only member brave enough to take on our public scrutiny - so that alone deserves some votes!

I look forward to hearing the candidates views on what needs changed (or should stay the same) and how they would accomplish these goals.

This is the area where we need some SERIOUS CHANGE. I really respect Mr. Leeds and Birdwell but I think its time for a change on school board. I like Mr. Irwin and think we need more people like him. We need a board that knows how to manage the budget better and most importantly have a positive relationship with the staff inside Monroe Local Schools. I am sick and tired of all the folks double dipping. The Monroe Local School district has turned into a good ol boys club that needs to be taken down from the top down. I am quite bitter so I will stop there.
