No OGT or Summer School Classes at Monroe High School

Postby HRHPatey » Mon, 08 Jun 2009 13:21:52 GMT

Due to low enrollment numbers, Monroe High School will NOT be able to offer the OGT or Summer School program.

I wonder what they do for the kids who failed a class? they always had the opportunity to retake in the summer. When I was in school it was all at Middletown High, but since we're not part of them...

I had the same thought HBG ... I would suppose the parents of any such student would have the ownership of finding some sort of tutor to assist throughout the Summer.

I wonder if they could set up something directly with a teacher from the district?

That is an excellent idea Bob!

How would someone pursue that? Contact them via the email address listed on MLS website?

Yes that would work.

From Dr. Lolli:
"The students needing summer school can attend other local school district summer schools. If information is needed we can provide that to the student."
