As work proceeds on the reconstruction and widening of Interstate
75 in Butler County, a traffic switch is planned for northbound
I-75 the evening of Tuesday, June 9. At the same time, the
northbound I-75 Travel Information Center (Exit 28) will be closed
to accommodate work on this section of highway; the closure will be
in place for several months.

Northbound I-75 traffic will travel on a four-mile stretch of
southbound I-75, from just north of SR 129 (Exit 24), to just south
of the SR 63 (Exit 29) interchange. Three lanes of traffic will
continue to be maintained. Northbound traffic will be restricted by
concrete barrier wall on both sides of the travelled lanes; there
will be no shoulders or room available for break downs.

I love the "no room available for breakdowns" part-like my car is smart enough to know to wait until it gets to Franklin to blow up...

Ooh, had that happen to me once in Cali. My fairly new truck just died on the 405 at the 55. No cell phone, a gazillion angry drivers during rush hour traffic, road construction everywhere and no shoulder. Thankfully I went before I left home, else I'd have had to get the seats cleaned!!

My dad ran out of gas on a one lane bridge where traffic was controlled by a light. He did this on the way home from a fireworks display, so you can imagine what traffic was like. I was about 13, that age where everything your parents do is appalling. I remember crawling on the floor of the car where I stayed for hours.

Does the City or State plan on having a Tow Truck on standby 24/7? I have seen this in a few instances where there was no places for a breakdown.
