Postby Beasly » Fri, 07 Aug 2009 12:23:53 GMT

I haven't ventured out yet to even see. Anyone have any photos or such to share? Anyone been there yet?

Word is from several employees of different stores that they have sold almost the entire start up inventory. Some stores are reporting sales in excess of $100,000. a DAY and expect the coming weeks to be busier. Many are staying away due to it being new and hoping to miss the crowds, many suggest that about the time business would settle in it will be the Holiday shopping season and it will be off to the races again.

We have been holding off on any Back to School shopping waiting for the mall to open. My wife went 3 times this weekend and actually did very well. With the sales the stores are having and the extra coupons she had, we spent considerably less than past years. Gap was especially good with the sales/coupon combination.

Of course I spent my share at the Adidas store - It's the bomb for a soccer guy like me.

We are glad we are able to spend our money locally and the back entrance has been a blessing. We haven't fought traffic at all.

Now I am ready for the all the new food places to come rushing in.

Good job on this Monroe!

It may be for the stores, but for the Monroe and the surrounding citizens it is a COMPLETE FAILURE in terms of the traffic.

We weren't even going to the mall, but we were detained on SR 63 for over a half hour by the Monroe Police hired to "control" the traffic exiting the mall Sunday evening. They were letting out several dozen cars from the mall for every 8-10 cars let through the light on westbound 63.

It made us mad enough to not only not visit the mall for a long time, but we're going to be avoiding the SR 63 mess. It was bad enough with the construction barrels (with no active work being done), but with these donut chompers in charge it got really bad.

Somebody sounds a bit hateful.
Those "Donut Chompers" are the first ones you will call when you get into a car accident (regardless of the amount of damage) or expect to respond quickly to your neighbor's barking dog!!!!!
I think most of us know not to use the I-75 intersection if at all possible. For me, I use it very early morning or not at all. Middletown's exit isnot much better but I assure you that I don't spend 30 minutes getting onto I-75, even with the extra drive.
Heading to Lebanon? Several back-roads to consider.
Traffic will hopefully improve once the whole construction mess is finished. Until then, plan ahead. Now that you've experienced the traffic first-hand, you should know what to expect (as if you didn't have any clue about it until recently)
I taught him everything I know and he's still stupid. I don't understand it!!!

I have avoided this mess since it began and will continue to do so until I can get to 75 without a wait! It is a nice drive in the country to avoid it and that is a good thing to me. :D

Saturday and Sunday, I got by the mall very easily because of the police. I was impressed with how on top of things they were.
Everyone with sleeping problems should teach small children or take care of them all day.

Stick a pretzel in it.

Or steak it out.

Or get some chicken now.

Take China (to the) MAX

.... Sorry, but they all work so well in a sentence. Yes, food please!

It [i]will[i] be a success once all the stores are open and the traffic is under control. I checked out Saks with the wife and was impressed on the prices. We bought some clothes at 40% off...pretty nice
