Interchange/63 Question

Postby ADH » Thu, 24 Sep 2009 11:54:04 GMT

The whole continuous right turn off of 75 S is definitely nice - but it was already a bit tricky to get over to the left turning lane in that short amount of time (to turn left onto New Garver). When that is finished will it be 3 lanes plus a left turning lane (so 4 total)? If so, it seems to be it's going to be not only extremely difficult, but also dangerous to cross that many lanes to get the turning lane, especially around 5-6pm. Is there any plan (I can't think of anything) to make that easier?

What? Can you elaborate?

What traffic light? How will it help you to cross 3 lanes of traffic? Seems like an additional stop in between there would make it even more difficult.

You wont be able to turn left there when it's finished, I misunderstood your question. Do you mean left turn at new garver onto Lebanon st? If so you will no longer be able to turn left there, you will go to the bottom of the hill and turn left onto what will be lawton ave. Look at the new concrete there, you can see the curb for what will be the new street through those trees on the south side.

Will we be able to turn left onto American Way?

I think you will only be able to turn left on Lawton, if heading west on 63. Not sure if there will be a U-Turn allowed. If going east on 63, you should be able to turn right into American Way. But then again, I'm only guessing!

I don't have a print available at this moment but if memory serves, it's right in, rt out going east on 63 or south at American and New Garver, left in at Lawton at the bottom of the hill.

It's not a u-turn...it's just a left turn onto American, unless something changes. Anyway, that does help - thanks!
