A. Attend the town hall meeting and let your concerns be known or ask questions
B. Attend the council meeting and let your concerns be known or ask questions
Trust me the council does not BITE. You can only do so much sitting behind a key board and venting it is much better to stand in the public eye and let your concerns be known and you should ask questions. Just a friendly reccomendation!

Some people are unable to attend meetings due to work, family responsibilities, physical disabilities, etc.
What you're saying is that they don't deserve information if they can't go to a meeting. These people still pay their taxes and vote. These town meetings might get more participation if they were streamed online and questions could be sent by email.

Then how would they know who they are addressing besides someone behind a keyboard? I understand your complaints/concerns, its a way for them to meet and greet the public. Not continue to answer questions over the internet as they continue to try and do.

People can email questions for the town hall meeting, it just kind of defeats the purpose if they are not there to hear the answer. :D

The email questions would only make sense if the meeting could be webcast.

well we have to put a stop to this CRAZY spending some how.

I would offer to meet any resident to explain the issues with the city. I would take a phone call, email or meet in person if any one would need to ask questions and get answers. It is easy to fire off alligations and cause disparity on any issue but it is another thing to get involved and try to find the solutions. Last night we had 3 residents in attendance. Not one question was rasied to the agenda or issues we currently face. I asked the law director to explain how the emergency process is used and why. I will follow up with any questions i can tonight at the Town Hall meeting.

Email me at shellt@monroeohio.org or call me at 513-600-0366

If you feel you can not reach me please call the city at 513-539-7374 option 7 and leave me a message with the city staff.

I might be wrong but 3 seats are open this year for council. You have the choice to run for a seat. It seems to me that people in this town just like to hear themselves talk and do not want to offer solutions.
